Akshay Kumar is back to India after completing the shoot of his upcoming spy thriller film Bell Bottom. It is the world’s first film to begin and complete the shoot during a pandemic.
Akshay and the entire cast and crew flew to Scotland in August to shoot the film. The actor broke his 18 years old rule for this film. Jackky Bhagnani, producer of the film told that Akshay pulled off double shift to complete the film on time and save cost of production. Akshay has a strict rule of working 8 hours a day. However, the team lost 14 days due to mandatory quarantine period and therefore, Akshay suggested double shift to cover up the time lost.
The film is set in the 1980s. Akshay plays a RAW agent who rescues 200 hostages in a hijack situation. The film is inspired by true events. It also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi. The film is scheduled to release on April 2, 2021.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will also be seen in Laxmmi Bomb which is all set to release on November 9 this year. His action film Sooryavanshi, which was to release in March is also awaiting a release. The film was postponed due to the lockdown and was then aiming for Diwali 2020 release. However, it has been delayed again.
