Akshay Kumar Feels That Sooryavanshi Is Relevant In Current Times Of Communal Unrest

Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for the release of Rohit Shetty’s  Sooryvanshi. The trailer of the movie has garnered a lot of praise from the viewers and everyone is eager to witness Akshay Kumar in the cop avatar in the action-drama film.

The trailer of Sooryavanshi reminds everyone of Khiladi Kumar’s  90s and early 2000s films. In the trailer of Sooryavanshi, there is a dialogue where Akshay Kumar says, “There is only one religion and that is ‘being India’.”

In a recent interview, the Good Newwz actor was asked about the same dialogue. On which the actor said, “I don’t believe in any religion. I only believe in being Indian and that is what the film also shows. The idea of being a Parsi or a Hindu or a Muslim, we have not looked at it on the basis of religion.”

When asked if the film is relevant to the current communal unrest in the country? The actor said, “It is a coincidence. We haven’t made it deliberately (now). But yes, it is very much a relevant film today.”

Talking about Sooryavanshi, the will also feature the previous stars of Rohit Shetty’s cop-universe- Ajay Devgn as Singham and Ranveer Singh as Simmba. The duo is said to have a special appearance in the film. Actress Katrina Kaif will also essay a pivotal role in the film.

Sooryavanshi is slated to release on 24th March 2020.
