Akshay Kumar Called A ‘Hypocrite’ As He Asks Donations For Ram Mandir

Akshay Kumar has become a target of trolls after he urged people to make donations for Ram Mandir.

Khiladi Akshay Kumar is back in the news as he recently urged people to make donations for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He also mentioned how this construction is a moment of pride for people following the faith. However, the actor has become a target of trolls and is being labeled a ‘hypocrite’ for contradicting his own statements. An old interview of the actor is going viral on the internet. It dates back to the year 2012 when Akshay was busy promoting his film Oh My God!

In the interview, he had said that he doesn’t understand why people waste milk, Nariyal etc in the temples because it isn’t something the God ever asked. He said that people often speak about how the farmers are dying of hunger but would waste food and money in temples. He suggested that in order to please God, one doesn’t need to go to a temple but can do good deeds by sitting at home.

This has surely invited some serious trolling. A user wrote, “Hypocrisy ki bhi seema hoti hai.’

Another Twitter user wrote, “Such a versatile actor you are. You can act so well as per the timing, season including political atmosphere. Who else can be better than you.”

Someone tweeted, “Kya se kya ho gya, bhagwa tere pyaar me’, while a person used Akshay’s dialogue on him as he tweeted, “50rs kaato.’

Well, what do you think about this whole controversy?
