Akshay Kumar And Tiger Shroff Accept Pay Cut For Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was nearly shelved but Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff revised their fees

Earlier this year Pooja Entertainment announced their next project Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The film collaborates two action heroes of Bollywood – Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. The biggest action entertainer is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Earlier reports suggested that the film got shelved due to monetary issues. However, the film got saved from being shelved as actors accepted a pay cut.

After the failure of Samrat Prithviraj and Heropanti 2, the stakeholders investing money in the film pulled their hands off from cashing in a whopping amount. Previously when the contract was closed, Akshay agreed on a hefty price of Rs. 144 crores, while Tiger came on board for Rs. 45 crores. Well, the latest buzz around the film suggests that the fee structure has been revised. The lead stars reduced their costs to complete the project.

Khiladi Kumar lowered his remuneration for this movie straight by 50% and the Baaghi hero cut down his fees by 20-30%. Akshay also entered the hybrid model of working. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff came together for the very first time to set the screen on fire. Ever since the movie was announced fans are waiting to see the duo’s onscreen chemistry.

A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama, “While Akshay has cut down his fees by 50 percent and entered the hybrid model of working in profit sharing and upfront fees, Tiger and Ali too have reduced their remuneration by 20 to 35 percent. There is an overall reduction of approximately Rs. 100 crores from the 3 talents and this has made the film a viable venture.”

Another source informed, “Which sane mind would spend Rs. 220 crores to just sign the talent? Yes, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was going to be put on the backburner, but the reason was not just the financial structure. There are a lot of factors involved in filmmaking. The deals with the actors on the financial front are always confidential, and the information leaked was all speculation and there was not an iota of truth to it. The financial structure of the film at present is also known just by the producers, their legal team and the actors in question.”

The movie is now in pre-production and will go on floors in January 2023. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is touted as the biggest action entertainer presented by Pooja Entertainment. Written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar the movie will release in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film is planned to be released during Christmas of 2023.
