Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who was recently shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Selfiee’ with co-star Emraan Hashmi has completed his first schedule wrap on April 20.
A video posted by the Dharma Productions on Twitter features both the actors in a small cake cutting ceremony post the schedule wrap of Selfiee. In the clip, Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi can be seen cutting a cake along with the crew members. The caption in the post read, ‘“It’s a schedule wrap for our Khiladi @akshaykumar for #Selfiee! Looking forward to all the energy and madness he will bring on the next schedule, soon!”

In the clip, the Bachchhan Pandey actor is seen in a black-colored oversized sweatshirt, while his co-star Emraan Hashmi is all decked up in a police uniform. Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi have joined hands for the first time for their upcoming film, Selfiee. Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty have also joined the cast of the film. Both the actresses will be seen playing female leads in the movie.
Directed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Driving Licence starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Their roles will be reprised by Akshay and Emraan, respectively. The movie revolves around the story of a superstar who is fond of driving but loses his license. He locks horns with a motor vehicle inspector, who happens to be his fan.
Akshay and Emraan Hashmi had announced Selfiee on their social media handles. Kumar took to his Instagram handle and uploaded a picture with Hashmi and captioned it, “Found myself the perfect #Selfiee partner! Hey have we slayed this selfie game or what?@therealemraan.” He also posted a fun video with the film cast on March 21. Sharing the video comprising the awesome foursome, Akshay had written, “With @nushrrattbharuccha and @dianapenty joining in, the #Selfiee squad is in full gear! Whatsay @therealemraan, ho jaye muqabla?”
Previously, Akki had teamed up with Raj Mehta for their film ‘Good Newwz’. On the other hand, he will also be seen with Nushrratt in his yet another forthcoming ‘Ram Setu’. The actor has multiple films in the pipeline including ‘Prithiviraj’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Mission Cinderella’ and ‘OMG 2’.
