Ajay Devgn’s ‘RAID 2’ has officially locked its release date, bringing excitement to fans after the success of the 2018 film Raid. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who helmed the original, the much-anticipated sequel will feature Vaani Kapoor as the new leading lady. Initially scheduled for a November 2024 release, the film’s date has been pushed to February 21, 2025.
Bhushan Kumar, under the T-Series banner, along with Panorama Studios, has revealed a powerful new poster of Raid 2. The poster’s caption grabbed attention on social media, stating: “Bringing back the action, intensity, and suspense your way! #Raid2 releasing on 21st February 2025!”
The first Raid was based on a real-life incident from the 1980s, with playing the role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The film was widely appreciated for its gripping portrayal of a true event. Now, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’ is set to honor the ‘unsung heroes of the Income Tax Department’ once again, featuring another case from their history.
The sequel brings a fresh dynamic, not only with Vaani Kapoor but also with Riteish Deshmukh playing the antagonist, a role expected to surprise audiences. With Devgn’s intensity and Deshmukh’s versatility, the film promises another gripping story.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak, Raid 2 is all set to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller.Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is also preparing for another major release, Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, which is scheduled for a Diwali 2024 release.
