Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been making headlines since her presence at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 last month. Following the film festival, she attended IIFA Awards with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aradhya. Lately, she commented on what is stopping her from working again with Abhishek Bachchan. However, apart from that, we have a piece of happy news that will leave her fans excited. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is suspected of teaming up with South’s superstar Rajnikant.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajnikant make a good pair that is loved by many. The duo has worked together previously in S. Shankar’s ‘Robot’ also named Enthiran in 2010. After 12 years they are expected to reunite for Rajnikant’s next film ‘Thalaivar 169’. This will mark Rajinikanth’s 169th film and for the same, he is joining hands with Sun Pictures.
The newest addition to the cast and crew is Bollywood’s exquisite actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who will play the role of Rajnikant’s wife. According to reports, the Jodha Akbar actress has locked her dates for this film. However, there is no confirmation and an official announcement is awaited.
The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ star has cut down her acting projects as she prioritizes family and daughter Aaradhya. Nevertheless, she has managed to complete Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film, ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’. The shooting of Thalaivar 169 is expected to begin in August, with the cast and crew going to various destinations. The 48-year-old actress is anticipated to play the wife of a 70-year-old superstar.
Rajnikant starrer film will be directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar of ‘Beast’. Thalaivar 169 will also feature Ramya Krishna and Priyanka Arul Mohan in the main cast. It is hoped that after starting the shoot in August this year the film will hit the theaters in 2023. So far Aishwarya now has 2 projects: Mani Ratnam’s historical drama ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ and ‘Thalaivar 169’.
