After Liger’s Failure, Karan Johar To Again Collab With Vijay Deverakonda?

After Liger's failure, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and South actor Vijay Deverakonda will now collaborate for another film.

Liger was one of the much-anticipated films of the year, the movie starred South superstar Vijay Deverakonda in the lead alongside Ananya Panday, however, the film terribly failed to impress the audience at the theatres. However, as per the latest reports, it is now believed that Vijay Deverakonda who made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s film Liger is now planning to collaborate with the Bollywood filmmaker yet again.

Karan Johar To Team Up Again With Vijay Deverakonda

If an ETimes report is to be believed, then Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar will soon be seen collaborating with South actor Vijay Deverakonda for the second time after their fil Liger. Despite facing criticism and backlash for their film Liger, Karan Johar and Vijay Deverakonda’s camaraderie is still very much alive.

It is now believed that Karan Johar will be producing the film by himself alone starring Vijay Deverakonda. While on the other hand, Vijay called off his upcoming film Jana Gana Mana with Puri Jagannath after Liger’s failure he is now focusing on his upcoming film Kushi with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Responding to the rumors Charmee Kaur earlier wrote, “Rumours rumours rumours! All rumours are fake! Just focusing on the progress of … Meanwhile, RIP rumours!!”

Meanwhile recently during the award acceptance speech at SIIMA, Vijay evidently got emotional as he spoke about Liger and revealed that he didn’t even want to attend the award show, he said “We all have good days. We all have not-so-good days. We all have sh**ty days. But irrespective of how we feel, we get up… And today I actually maybe didn’t want to be here taking this award, but I came here and as I speak to you, I promise to you that I will get the job done for all of you and you will be entertained. And great cinema will be made.”

Liger marked Vijay Deverakonda’s Bollywood debut. The highly anticipated film faced heavy criticism and backlash for its not-so-creative storyline. The film couldn’t manage to match the expectations of the audience and wrapped up its lifetime collection at the box office with 20crores. Liger was released in theaters on 25th August and booked an early ticket to OTT. The sports drama Liger is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from September 22. Digitally it is available in four languages – Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.
