Raksha Bandhan: Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer movie Raksha Bandhan was released yesterday in the theatres alongside Aamir Khan’s film Laal Singh Chaddha, however just hours after its release the film got leaked on various online websites including Tamilrockers, filmyzilla, and more.
Raksha Bandhan Full Movie Gets Leaked Online
The Aanand L Rai directorial Raksha Bandhan was recently released in the theatres alongside Aamir Khan’s film Laal Singh Chaddha, however, the film couldn’t manage to get a decent first-day collection at the box office, and the Akshay Kumar starrer barely managed to get across 7cr on the first day, while Aamir Khan’s film Laal Singh Chaddha somehow managed to get 10-11 cr on its first day.
However soon after the release both the films became a victim of piracy, after Laal Singh Chaddha’s leak, Akshay Kumar’s film Raksha Bandhan also went down on online websites including Tamilrockers and Movierulz in HD quality where the users can now download and watch the whole film for free.
The issue could indeed be a topic of concern for the makers since the leak will automatically influence the figures of both films at the box office. Apparently, both Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha have been receiving an average response from the viewers who watched the film on the very first day of its release.
However, this is not the only film that got leaked on the internet, earlier Kiccha Sudeep’s film Vikrant Rona and Mohit Suri’s film Ek Villain Returns also got leaked on the very first day of its release. Apart from it, Karan Johar’s film JugJugg Jeeyo, Runway 34 starring Ajay Devgn, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 featuring Kartik Aaryan, and blockbuster hit Pushpa are also some films that became a target of piracy though the films were leaked later after their release so their box-office collections weren’t affected by the leak.
However, that’s certainly not the case for Raksha Bandhan as the film has already opened up to a disappointing collection at the box office on the very first day collecting about 7cr only. While earlier the film created quite a buzz after social media users decided to boycott the film after the screenwriter of the film Kanika Dhillon stated that cow urine doesn’t cure Covid-19, the netizens later claimed that Kanika has repeatedly attacked Hindu beliefs and so they decided to boycott the film.
