After ‘Dhaakad’, ‘Anek’ Shows Get Cancelled Due To Lack Of Audience

After Kangana Ranaut's Dhaakad, now Ayushmann Khurrana's Anek got a very poor response from the audience in theatres

The recently released film Anek is not doing well at the box office. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s starrer film had finally hit the screens but it seems like the film is not garnering a good response from the audience. The action-thriller is directed by none other than Anubhav Sinha. The film had a dull response on the very first day. The action-thriller is based on a story in Northeastern India. On its opening day, the occupancy was 5- 7.5 percent. The movie is not fairing well in terms of audience response even though the storyline is an action thriller.

Unfortunately, according to the reports due to the poor response Anek was pulled down from many theatres. Also, reports suggest that several cinemas across circuits had to cancel a few shows. After actress Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad, now Ayushmann Khurrana’s Anek is getting a poor response in the theatres. Well, it seems that going by the trend of films not doing well in theatres, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 are fortunate enough to garner a good response. The comedy horror film is earning well in theatres. The socio-political action thriller film Anek is set against the geopolitical backdrop of Northeastern India.

After giving hit films like Article 15, a lot more was expected from filmmaker Anubhav Sinha and actor Ayushmann Khurana’s second collaboration. The poor response from the fans has given a huge shock to the duo. The turnout of the movie buffs in the theatres has been low since the start of the pandemic.
