After Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher Slams Richa Chadha For “Galwan” Tweet

After Akshay Kumar and Kay Kay Menon, Kashmir Files actor Anupam Kher and director Vivek Agnihotri have now slammed Richa Chadha for her Galwan tweet.

Richa Chadha’s recent “Galwan” tweet has sparked extreme outrage on the internet. From Bollywood celebrities to Twitterati a segment of netizens have now slammed the Fukrey actress for “disrespecting” the Indian army. Although Richa has apologized for her tweet, the netizens’ wrath and anger are not slowing down a bit. Reacting to the same Kashmir Files actor Anupam Kher has now also slammed Richa Chadha for her tweet. Here’s what he said-

Anupam Kher Takes A Brutal Jibe At Richa Chadha For Her “Galwan” Tweet

Recently many actors including Akshay Kumar, Kay Kay Menon, South actor Nikhil Siddhartha and others criticized Richa Chadha for disrespecting the Indian Army through her “Galwan” tweet. Apart from the celebrities the netizens also urged the audience to boycott Richa Chadha’s upcoming films like Fukrey 3 and all the brands endorsed by the actress.

Following all the online backlash The Kashmir Files actor Anupam Kher has now also reacted to Richa Chadha’s controversial tweet. On Thursday, actor Anupam Kher took to his Twitter and wrote, “Desh ki burai karke kuch logon ke beech lokpriya hone ki koshi karna kayar aur chote logon ka kaam hai. Aur sena ke samman ko daav par lagana… isse zyada sharmnaak aur kya ho sakta hai (trying to become popular among some people by talking badly about your country is the work of cowards and small people. And putting the honour of the army at stake… what can be more shameful than this).”

Apart from Anupam Kher Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri also shared his response on Twitter and wrote, “I am not surprised at all with this behaviour. They genuinely feel anti-India. Dil ki baat jubaan pe aa hi jaati hai. And then they ask why people want to #BoycottBollywood #Shame”.

For the unversed, Richa Chadha has now deleted her Galwan tweet, she also apologized to her fans and the netizens after posting the tweet. In her apology note, the actress wrote,  “Even though it can never be my intention in the least, if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologise and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the fauj (army) of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part,” 

Richa Chadha’s Galwan Tweet Controversy

For the unversed, recently Richa Chdha reacted to Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi’s statement that the Indian army is ready to execute orders like taking back POK. Following this many netizens and celebs urged the authorities to file an FIR against the actress for her tweet. Following the extreme backlash, Richa issued an apology note on Thursday stating that she didn’t mean to hurt the sentiments of her fans.
