Aditya Roy Kapur transformed his personality for the upcoming movie Rashtra Kavach Om. The trailer of the much-anticipated action entertainer was released few days back. Ever since the trailer was launched audiences are in awe of Aditya’s physical transformation. The actor will be seen performing high-octane action stunts in the movie.
Aditya Roy Kapur, who has played the role of a regular guy in movies such as Aashiqui 2, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and Kalaank, will be essaying the character of a soldier. Nevertheless, he played an intense role in the action-thriller Malang but his character in the upcoming movie will be a never seen before for Mr. Kapur. Aditya opened up about the film Rashtra Kavach Om and his character as an action hero.
Aditya said, “The film came to me just a few weeks after Malang. Kapil (director Kapil Verma) and Ahmed sir (Ahmed Khan) had the script ready, and they were thinking about who they wanted to cast in the film. I think they saw some glimpses of me doing action in Malang and thought of asking me if I was game for this role. And I was most definitely interested in doing action films. So, in a way, it was like being in the right place at the right time, for both sides.”
Talking about his character and what went into the preparation, Aditya said: “It’s probably the most physically grueling film that I’ve done till date. I had to bulk up for the role and learn action. I hadn’t done hardcore action before this film. So that was an area where I had limited exposure. But I underwent action training for four months and it was pretty intense,”
He added: “For the film I trained in action for 4 months and to maintain the physique I had to keep the balance between action training and heavy weight training to build muscles during workout. This has been my most physically challenging film to date. But it was a process that was necessary to do justice to the role.”
Coming over to the film, Rashtra Kavach Om is an action thriller film directed by Kapil Verma. Along with Aditya Roy Kapur, the film also stars Sanjana Sanghi, Jackie Shroff, Prakash Raj, and Ashutosh Rana in leading roles. The movie set to release on July 1 2022 is produced by Ahmed Khan under the banners of Zee Studios.
