In a candid conversation with Lehren Retro, Zarina Wahab shared her perspective on their nearly 40-year marriage and addressed rumours about abuse. When asked about the allegations against her husband Zarina said, “Bahut galat sunte hai, I feel very bad.”
The interviewer mentioned how both Pooja Bedi and Kangana Ranaut had publicly spoken about being mistreated by Aditya Pancholi. When asked if she had faced anything similar Zarina firmly clarified, “Nahi, nahi, kabhi nahi!” She continued to defend her husband saying, “Sablog sochte ki vo maarta hai but he’s such a sweetheart, ulta main use maardu. He’s very sweet.”

Adding on, when questioned about whether she had ever witnessed the domestic violence side of him as described by his girlfriends over the years, Zarina makes a bold statement saying, “Girlfriends baat karenge kyuki jo vo jo chahti thi vo nahi ho pa raha tha, isliye.” According to her, the complaints from his past relationships stemmed from unmet expectations rather than abusive behaviour.
Further making a rare comment on Kangana, Zarina says, “I was very nice to Kangana, mere ghar bhi yahan aaya karti thi, she was very nice. I don’t know what went..!” Speaking about her first impressions of Kangana, she added, “Lekin itna mujhe jarur malum tha ki… jo woh nahi dekh sakta tha, main dekh sakti thi. Lekin maine kaha time will tell… I don’t want to say anything.”
