Adah Sharma Replies To Those Who Call “The Kerala Story” A Propaganda

In an Instagram post, Adah Sharma addressed those who are calling "The Kerala Story" a propaganda film.

Sudipto Sen’s film “The Kerala Story” has been receiving polarised responses from different parts of the country. While some call it a “brave attempt”, others have labeled it a “propaganda film”. “The Kerala Story” revolves around the concept of Love Jihad and shows how innocent Hindu girls are trapped to convert to Islam and later forced to join ISIS. In some states, the film has been banned while in some states, it has been made tax-free in order to promote the film among the masses. Adah Sharma, who plays the lead role in the film, has reacted to the polarised reactions.

She took to her Instagram story and thanked those who appreciated and accepted the film. Meanwhile, she also addressed those who are calling “The Kerala Story” a propaganda film.

She wrote in her Instagram caption, “Standing ovation in theatres , the honourable PM mentioning our film #TheKeralaStory, critics and audience applauding my performance , HOUSEFULL messages from so many of you, bumper opening ! I could never have dreamed of so much. All your dreams for me are coming true. #Greatful”

She then added, “And for the the few still calling #TheKeralaStory a propaganda film ,saying these incidents do not exist even after watching testimonials of several Indian victims and their parents,,,my humble request , Google two words ISIS and Brides…maybe an account of white girls narrated to you might make you feel that our Indian movie is real.”

“The Kerala Story” is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The film features Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani. It was released in theatres on 5 May.
