Deepika Padukone opens up on the ongoing JNU protests saying she's proud that we're not afraid to speak out.

The major attack on JNU shook the country as a whole. In their opinion, the whole country is divided over the ongoing acts, the threats, and the chaos. The nation’s youth have already taken a strong stand on what’s going on, taking to the streets across the world, demonstrating, and demanding justice. Last night in Mumbai, several celebrities appeared in unison with JNU students, teachers, and anyone whose lives were affected by recent attacks. Deepika Padukone talked about the youth protesting in the streets in conversation with NDTV.

The Chhapaak actress said she’s proud we’re not afraid to express ourselves, and the fact that we’re talking about it and looking towards the future, and regardless of the point of view we’ve got, the fact remains that it’s good to see.

She even said she feels proud that we’re sharing our opinion, on the streets, or otherwise, and that this important to happen if we want to see any kind of improvement in our lives, or in society, that it’s necessary to bring it to our point of view. A group of masked men stormed the university campus on Sunday for the unversed. The goons cruelly beat the students and professors.
