Actor Sachiin Joshi who is currently stuck in Dubai has offered his hotel in Mumbai to the Brihan Mumbai Mahanagar Corporation (BMC) to quarantine COVID-19 patients coming from abroad. Sachiin has offered his 36-room hotel Beatle in Powai for the noble cause.
Sachiin said, “Mumbai being a densely populated city, there are not enough hospitals and beds to take measures to save our city. When the BMC approached us for help, we voluntarily agreed to help.”
The actor further added, “We’ve converted our hotel with the BMC’s help into a quarantine facility for travelers.”
Sachiin also placed emphasis that the rooms and the entire hotel building gets sanitized regularly and also the staff is equipped with the necessary gear.
The actor who was last seen in Amavas alongside Nargis Fakhri and Mona Singh, is also donating food boxes to policemen and municipal workers who are fighting the COVID-19 outbreak in India through Big Brother Foundation.
The actor concluded by saying, “I’m glad that our hotel in Powai ‘The Beatle’ has been given to the BMC for quarantining people. It’s my husband’s decision and I respect and support it,” said Sachiin’s wife Urvashi, adding: “We have been distributing food from our hotel to all officials and people stuck on the road. Our team has been selflessly doing it for almost two weeks now and will continue to give our support until we can.”
Earlier this month, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan offered their 4-storey personal office building to BMC to help them improve the quarantine facility for children and old people.
