Actor Kunal Kemmu Turns Director For Madgaon Express

Kunal Kemmu announced his debut directorial film Madgaon Express backed by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment

Kunal Kemmu announced his debut directorial film Madgaon Express. After delivering many films as an actor Kunal Kemmu is stepping into a new chapter of life. He will now wear a director’s hat for his next project. Along with directing he has also written the script. Read on to more details about Madgaon Express. 

Kunal Kemmu has given a commendable performance in Kalyug, Traffic Signal, Go Goa Gone, Dhol, Kalank, and Lootcase. The actor now wants to start a new journey as a writer and director.  He chose the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi to announce the big news. He took to social media to share the poster of the film. 

Sharing the title poster, he captioned the post, “Ganpati Bappa Moriya! As all good things begin with his name I can’t think of a better day to share this with all of you. It started with a thought in my head, which grew into a dream which flowed out through my fingers into words on my laptop, and now it is becoming a reality on its way to the silver screen.”

He further added, “A big thank you to @ritesh_sid @faroutakhtar and @roo_cha at @excelmovies for believing in my script and my vision and partnering with me on this exciting journey in the world of cinema. With folded hands and a bowed head I seek all of your blessings and the blessings of Ganpati Bappa. Introducing Madgaon Express. #Madgaonexpress.”

His industry friends sent congratulatory messages on his post. Shreyas Talpade wrote, Heartiest congratulations mere bhai, while Disha Patani wrote OMG congratulations. Ishaan Khatter wrote, All the best brotherman, love and only love. Nupur Sanon wrote Kill it and Dia Mirza dropped lit fire emojis. Madgaon express is written and directed by Kunal Kemmu. The film will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under their company Excel Entertainment. 

On the work front, Kunal was last seen in Lootcase after the failure of Kalank. He now has two projects in the pipeline titled Malang 2 and Kanjoos Makkhichoos with Vipul Shah.
