Opening up on how smooth his transition from being a television actor to now being a bollywood actor has been, Abhishek Bajaj started off by telling, “Transition from TV to films I’d say it has been quite smooth and nice. It happened step by step. I started with TV commercials, then got into television and now I am into films but for all that, I can say that on every project I’ve worked really hard and also made sure that next project has to be better than before wherein my performance should be better. I used to keep observing myself, my co-actors where I watched a lot of good cinema and good performances. There was a lot of hardwork which I did. I still remember sharing rickshaw with other models so that I get to know where the auditions are happening. I used to carry three t-shirts as during auditions I was full of sweat and so I have done all these struggles to be where I am today and today with god’s grace, I don’t have to do all this as they shortlist and call me by themselves”.

Opening up on his character in film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Abhishek shares, “This character has lots of weight and also lots of aura. Whenever he will come on screen, he would make a difference so I am really looking forward to it”.

Talking about how he got this film and the entire backstory, Abhishek said, “I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra’s casting company. They called and asked me about the favourability and I said yes I am available. Next day Mukesh bhai called me and said that, ‘I see you in this character, the character is so and I feel you are the most apt actor to perform this character’. When he was telling me about it, I felt that no one can perform it better than me. There are a few things in which I think I am the best and also it was Abhishek Kapoor’s movie. He is one of best directors and I’ve seen his films like Kai Po Che, Rock On, Kedarnath and so on. Another reason was that it had Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role and whatever film he chooses, its always a huge hit”.

Revealing about his favorite films and series which he is watching in this lockdown, Abhishek says, “I am watching couple of shows like Mind Hunters, Peaky Blinders, White Kings and also watched comedy films of Akshay Kumar like Hera Pheri, Mr And Mrs Khiladi and Mujhse Shadi Karogi”.

Talking about how he keeps himself motivated in this second wave of pandemic, Abhishek quips, “I think that I am always motivated and I didn’t feel like the second wave of COVID has happened because I never get out that much from my home since I always prefer to be at home and watch different films, different shows. My workout was going on. Mom was at home so I spent time with her as in last lockdown we were not together so I made up for that lost time with my mom”.

Finally sharing details about his fitness transformation secret, Abhishek added, “My fitness transformation secret is I don’t keep a target. I just do better than before. I keep in mind that whatever I do now should be better than before and fitness should be part of your lifestyle and it shouldn’t be like within 3 or 6 months I need six pack abs. I don’t do that. I always think about long run that even after 40 years from now on, I should look and be fit and its not like I want to be fit within 4 months or something like that as I want to be healthy throughout my life”.
