Katrina Kaif tied the knot with actor Vicky Kaushal on Dec 9, 2021, in Rajasthan. It was an intimate ceremony and only a few celebs were a part of their big day. Even Salman Khan, who has been a crucial part of Katrina Kaif’s Bollywood journey was not invited to the wedding. Katrina, who dated Salman a decade ago continues to share a cordial relationship with him and his family. And the absence of the Khan family from Katrina’s big day came as a shocker to many.
Recently, Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma opened up about his family not being invited to Katrina’s wedding. In an interview with a leading daily, he said, “For us, Katrina is a very dear friend and all of us wish her all the best. It’s the way she wants to decide her marriage and there is no big deal about it. I think everyone makes a very big deal. It’s her and Vicky’s big day and they need to have a good time, in whatever capacity, that’s about it.”
He further added, “Katrina is always going to be close to us as a family and we are just happy that she is happy. When people find happiness, that is the most beautiful thing we can wish for our family, friends, colleagues, that everybody finds their centre and their happiness.”
Well, Aayush Sharma’s statement is surely winning our hearts.
Aayush was recently seen alongside Salman Khan in the action film ‘Antim: The Final Truth’. On the other hand, Katrina and Salman will be next seen together in ‘Tiger 3’.
