Aamir Khan’s upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has been postponed again. The announcement was made today on the official social media handle of Aamir Khan’s production house.
Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date was earlier announced to be 14th April, that is, on the occasion of Baisakhi. However, the team has not yet been able to finish the film.
The official announcement reads, “This is to announce that our film, Laal Singh Chaddha, will not be releasing on 14th April as planned. This is because we are unable to complete the film on time.”
Further announcing the new release date, the note reads, “The film will now be releasing on 11th August 2022 in theatres worldwide.”
The release date of Adipurush has been changed due to Laal Singh Chaddha’s new release date. Aamir Khan thanked Bhushan Kumar, T Series, director Om Raut and the entire team of Adipurush as he wrote, “We would like to thank them for being so helpful and understanding and shifting the release date of their much-awaited, Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, so that Laal Singh Chaddha can come on 11th August 2022.”
Laal Singh Chaddha has been postponed several times. It was initially scheduled to release on Christmas 2020, but the shooting was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A new release date was set in 2021, but that didn’t work out as well. And now once again, the fans will have to wait a little longer.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of Tom Hanks’ classic film ‘Forrest Gump’. The upcoming film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.
