One of the most anticipated films of 2022, fans have been eagerly waiting for Laal Singh Chaddha to be released, to witness perfectionist Aamir Khan and gorgeous Bebo’s charismatic on-screen pair. For the unversed, Aamir made his last appearance in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ and since then, the buzz of his new movie is making fans frenzy.
A recent media report will surely shock you, where the remuneration of each of the star cast of the movie was revealed. What is shocking, is how much Aamir was paid for his part in the film, where his figures were estimated to be more than 6 times that of Kareena Kapoor Khan. The titular character Laal Singh Chaddha played by Aamir Khan is said to be paid a whopping 50 crores for playing this never seen before avatar in the film.
After Aamir, the leading lady of the film Kareena is said to have charged approximately 8 crores for the film. Kareena essays the character of Manpreet Kaur Chaddha in the film. Other supporting casts include South Indian star Naga Chaitanya, who has been paid around 6 crores for his part of the contribution. Naga is said to be making his Bollywood debut with Laal Singh Chaddha, playing the role of Ritesh Singh.
Sharing her experience of working with Aamir once again, Kareena said, “I’m extremely excited as Aamir and I are coming together after 3 Idiots and Talaash. It’s very special and we have worked very hard. Especially Aamir, he has gone through a lot. It’s a brilliant script and I’m hoping it will come on the screen the same way and everyone is going to like it.”
For the unversed, the film took 2 years to complete its shooting, with most part of the film being shot during the pandemic. Kareena was even pregnant with her second son, Jeh, while shooting for the film. “Working with less people is better because when there are fewer people, one can concentrate more. It’s better than when there are 200 people around, when they are really not required at the time. Working hours have also become stricter now,” she said.

The movie is a remake of the hit Hollywood film ‘The Forrest Gump’ starring Tom Hanks. Even before the film could get released, many trolled that the film be banned, as Aamir was seen supporting ‘The Kashmir Files’ at the RRR promotion event, many called his move a public gimmick.
