Aamir Khan Calls His Dream Project Mahabharat A Yagna, Says I Am Afraid And Not Ready

Aamir Khan is in news for his upcoming much-awaited film Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie is an official adaptation of the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. The Hindi version of the film features Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya alongside Aamir Khan in lead roles. While promoting the movie Aamir Khan was quipped about Mahabharat.

The 3 idiots actor has almost spent 14 years in the making of Laal Singh Chaddha. He also has another big project Mahabharat which is reported that he may have put it on the back burner. When everyone is making larger-than-life movies in current times Aamir Khan spoke about his dream project Mahabharat. 

In an interview with a media portal, the actor was asked about his dream project Mahabharat. He then revealed why he hasn’t kick-started the project yet. He mentioned that it is not just a film but a yagna for which he is not ready and afraid. The actor who will play the lead role in his upcoming movie is also confident that Mahabharat will never let the audience down. 

Aamir Khan said, “When you’re making Mahabharat, you’re not making a film, you’re doing a yagna. It’s not a film, it’s much deeper than that. So I’m not ready for that. I’m afraid to bring it out in the fore. Mahabharat will never let you down, you might let it down.”

The PK actor also spoke about his failures and how it has been a learning curve for him. He said, “I give a lot of thought to what went wrong. See a film that doesn’t work, is an opportunity. You learn exactly where it’s gone wrong. Wherever I am today, is because of my failure and not my success. I hold my failures close to my heart, because those are the ones have struggled the most. But they teach you a lot. So I value my failures a lot.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is arriving in theaters on 11 August 2022. It is Secret Superstar director Advait Chandan’s directorial and is produced under the banners of Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18.
