A R Rahman’s REACTS On Bollywood’s Song Remake Culture

India’s Academy Award winner composer A R Rahman is one of the most loved singers in the industry. The iconic singer has gifted India’s music industry with gems like Roja, Rang De Basanti, Rockstar and many more. His soulful voice and music have pulled strings of many hearts.

Recently in an interview, Rahman spoke about the current trend in Bollywood and how remix songs are becoming chartbusters. He also spoke about his songs that got a remake in Bollywood.

When he was quizzed about if he’s happy with any of his recreated versions he said that some of them are very “disastrous” and “annoying”. He later revealed that he liked the remake of his song “Humma” from the movie Okay Jaanu starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor. He said that he was happy that the song helped the film. Rahman then confessed that he was forced to support it even after hating it and people would troll him to support the song.

On the work front, A R Rahman will be next working with Anand L Rai in “Atrangi Re” starring Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush, and Akshay Kumar. Keeping aside this project he also has two more projects in his kitty.
