Veteran actor Suresh Oberoi, known for his strong performances and as the father of Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi, recently shared his thoughts on the biopic PM Narendra Modi, where his son plays the main role. In an exclusive interview with Lehren Retro, Suresh expressed his admiration for the film and praised Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, noting the progress they have made for the country and for the Bharitya Janata Party.
When asked if Vivek Oberoi made a good fit for the role of Narendra Modi, Suresh Oberoi said, “He did very well! I liked him very well.” He mentioned that during the film, there were moments when it felt like Narendra Modi was actually on screen, highlighting Vivek’s impressive performance.
Suresh Oberoi, who has also entered the world of politics, shared that he has been involved in political activities since his father’s time. Sharing how he has been an avid supporter of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and also likes Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), further, especially praising the work of Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath. He stated, “I like what RSS does, I like what BJP does, and especially after Modi Ji I even like it more because Yogi Ji and Modi have made something strong and nice, very loud and clear.”
The veteran actor emphasized the positive changes he has seen since Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath came into power, focusing on their dedication to the nation. He said, “With no nonsense, no chori (robbery), nobody will come late, punctuality aur kya kya! Kaafi sudhaar hai ab toh (A lot has improved now).”

Suresh Oberoi is well-known for his roles in famous films like Mirch Masala, Vijaypath, Masoom, Tezaab and many more. Also, made him a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1987. He had began his career in radio before becoming a popular actor in Bollywood during the 1980s and 1990s. Besides acting, he also enjoys writing romantic and philosophical poetry. In 2004, he joined the BJP as a primary member, blending his love for art and politics.
