’83 Official First Look OUT: Leaves Everyone Stumped

83 director Kabir Khan along with his on-screen devils unveils the film’s official first look poster. This film is slated to release on 10th April 2020.

The primary posters of ’83 have taken everyone by storm. The Kabir Khan directed film has already created a substantial buzz amongst the audiences. The moviegoers are all eager to re-live the historic victory of the Indian Cricket Team in the 1983 World Cup Tournament.

Meanwhile, the filmmakers of ’83 have unveiled its first official look. The first look is a compilation of all the primary posters which introduced us to the reel life avatars of Ranveer Singh’s on-screen team. It also introduces Pankaj Tripathi in his role as PR Man Singh, the then Manager of the Indian Cricket Team. The cricketing avatars of these actors leave us stumped and all eager to witness more of it on the big screen.

Ranveer Singh will essay the role of legendary cricketer and 1983’s World Cup winning captain, Kapil Dev while Deepika Padukone will portray the role of his on-screen wife, Romi Dev. Deepika’s on-screen look has not been shared yet in any of the primary posters or even in the official first look, so her fans remain in anticipation to witness her reel avatar.

Along with Ranveer, many keen actors are going to essay the roles of various cricketers. Actors like Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Adhinath Kothare are amongst other various members of the Indian cricket team of 1983.

The film had its first look poster launch in Chennai, it marked the presence of Megastars of South cinema. Kamal Hasan and Akkineni Nagarjun collaborated with Kabir Khan to promote the Tamil and Telugu versions of ’83. During the first look poster launch, the entire cast of ’83 was present.

Talking about ’83 Kamal Hasan said that it is a matter of pride to promote a film that will recreate the moments of the iconic matches. He further added, “I am happy to bring to my people the story of the team of inspired men captained by Kapil Dev who fought against all odds and India’s greatest sporting triumph.”

The film is slated to release on 10th April 2020. And it will be available in three languages-Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
