June is a busy month for Bollywood biggies as several films are awaiting their release. As theatres are running at full capacity post-covid, many films that were halted are now ready for big theatrical release. Check out the list of Hindi movies releasing in June 2022:
- Prithviraj
Prithviraj is a period action film produced by Yash Raj Films. The highly anticipated film marks the Bollywood debut of Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar. Akshay Kumar will reprise the role of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. The film was initially scheduled to release on Diwali 2020. However, due to Covid, the filming couldn’t complete on time.

2. Major
Major is a biographical action film based on the life and valour of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who laid down his life during the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks. The film has been simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi languages. It features Adivi Sesh, Prakash Raj and Saiee Manjrekar.

3. Govinda Naam Mera
Govinda Naam Mera is a comedy film starring Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar in the leading roles. 10 June 2022 was announced as the film’s release date. However, certain media reports suggest that the release has been pushed, although there hasn’t been any official confirmation from the makers yet. The trailer of ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is yet to be released.

4. Janhit Mein Jaari
Janhit Mein Jaari features Nushrratt Bharuccha in the leading role. In the film, actress Nushrratt Bharuccha will be seen as a salesgirl, who sells condoms and spreads awareness about their importance. The film also stars Vijay Raaz and Tinnu Anand.

5. Nikamma
Nikamma is an action comedy film starring Shilpa Shetty, Shirley Setia and Abhimanyu Dassani. It is directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sony Pictures India. Nikamma will mark Shirley’s debut in Bollywood.

6. JugJugg Jeeyo
JugJugg Jeeyo is a family drama film produced by Dharma Productions. It features Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Manish Paul and Prajakta Koli. This film marks the return of Neetu Kapoor into acting after almost a decade, where she was last seen in the film Besharam. The trailer of JugJugg Jeeyo was released recently.
