Bollywood singer KK has died at the age of 53. Minister Arup Biswas confirmed the news of KK’s death as he said, “Singer Anupam Roy called me up and said he is hearing something bad from the hospital. Then I contacted the hospital. They said he was brought dead. Then I rushed to the hospital.”
The singer gave a performance at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata on Tuesday. According to the reports, he fell ill while performing at the concert. After the concert, he went to his hotel where he suffered a heart attack. He was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute at around 10:30 PM where doctors declared him brought dead.
KK was an Indian playback singer who recorded songs in several Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati. He was born in Delhi to Malayali parents. He moved to Mumbai in 1994 and released his first album, Pal in 1999. He was best known for his songs ‘Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai’, ‘Dus Bahane’, ‘Khuda Jaane’, etc.
