Deepika Padukone is gearing up for some amazing films in the coming year. 2020 had been a tough year for Deepika. She received negative publicity when she joined JNU protests in January and when she was summoned by NCB in drug-related investigation. Only one film of Deepika made it to the theatres this year. It was Chhapaak and that too was boycotted by the public and became a big flop. However, 2021 is a hopeful year for her. She has 5 big-budget projects in her kitty.
1- First one is the film 83 starring Ranveer Singh in lead. It is the biopic of Kapil Dev. Deepika has a supporting role in the film as she plays Kapil Dev’s wife.
2- Next one is a film by Shakun Batra. Deepika is currently busy shooting the same. The film also stars Siddharth Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey.
3- Her third most anticipated project is a mythological film in which she will be essaying the role of Draupadi.
4- Deepika will also be seen in the official adaptation of the Hollywood film ‘The Intern’. The film’s initial cast also had Rishi Kapoor, but after his unfortunate demise, another actor will replace him.
5- Deepika will also be seen in a big-budget film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. No details of the project are out yet. But we know it is going to be huge. As we know that Deepika and Bhansali earlier collaborated in Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani and created magic on the big screen.
