19 Years Of Kal Ho Naa Ho: This Is Preity Zinta’s Favourite Scene

Kal Ho Naa Ho has clocked 19 years and just like us Preity Zinta still can’t get over the movie

When you hear the movie title Kal Ho Naa Ho, did ‘Pretty Woman’ or ‘Kuch Toh Hua Hai’ play in the background? If yes, then you are a true Bollywood and Kal Ho Naa Ho fan. 2003’s most loved romance musical drama Kal Ho Naa Ho clocked 19 today. Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta starrer was one of the best Bollywood movies of the early 2000s. On November 28, 22 the film completed 19 years, and lead actor Preity Zinta took her fans to a flashback. She shared a clip from the movie calling it her favorite scene. 

Going nostalgic over the movie Preity Zinta tagged Kal Ho Naa Ho as her saddest happy film. Celebrating the 19th Anniversary she dropped a video of the movie on her Instagram account. In the footage, Shah Rukh Khan and Preity are in a banter where Aman is teasing Naina who is in a grumpy mood. Moving forward he lessons his neighbour Naina to unload the weight of stress and stop worrying about the future with a smile on face. 

The caption of the post read, “Remembering Kal Ho Naa Ho on its anniversary this Thanksgiving weekend. This is one of my favourite scenes from the film cuz multiple pages of dialogues were shot in one big take. Later a few close ups were added. This scene is all about gratitude & appreciating what we have in our present. This was my saddest happy film. So grateful to have the opportunity to be part of films & cinema I enjoy & believe in.”

Helmed by Nikhil Advani, Kal Ho Naa Ho was written by Karan Johar and produced by Yash Johar under the banners of Dharma Productions and was presented by Yash Raj Films. This happened to be the last film of Yash Johar before his death in 2004. Karan Johar also dropped a few unseen pics from the sets of Kal Ho Naa Ho.

In the caption, he wrote, “An entire lifetime of memories, in a heartbeat! This film gave so much more than just that – it gave me joy, unbreakable bonds, a different lens for story telling and of course – the last film set I could be on with my father. And for that, I will forever be grateful to this film! #19YearsOfKalHoNaaHo.”

Apart from SRK, Preity, and Saif, Kal Ho Naa Ho also starred Jaya Bachchan, Sushma Seth, Reema Lagoo, Lillete Dubey, Delnaaz Paul, and Sonali Bendre. ‘A Story of a Lifetime … In a Heartbeat’ was the tagline of the film which was the highest-grossing Bollywood film of that year.
