100 Glorious Years Of Raj Kapoor: The Kapoor Family Stands United In Celebration!

The RK@100 celebrations reflect not just the legacy of Raj Kapoor but also the enduring unity and pride of the Kapoor Family in keeping his memory alive.

Bollywood’s very first family, the Kapoor Family came together in Mumbai to commemorate the 100th Birth Anniversary of legendary filmmaker-actor Raj Kapoor aka The Greatest Showman of Indian Cinema! Marking this milestone, a special film festival celebrating his evergreen films was inaugurated in a grand celebration.

The biggest Kapoor clan including Randhir Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Rima Kapoor Jain, Manoj Jain, Aadar Jain, Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan and many others posed together for a heartfelt picture during the opening night. Their collective presence underscored the family’s pride in Raj Kapoor’s extraordinary contributions to Indian cinema.

The red carpet of the RK@100 celebration saw the Kapoor family in high spirits, joined by the other prominent names from Bollywood industry like Rekha, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prem Chopra, Padmini Kolhapure, Rajkumar Santoshi, Mahesh Bhatt, Sanjay Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Boney Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Riteish Deshmukh, and many others.

During the event, Ranbir Kapoor was captured in a look that channeled his grandfather’s timeless charm with his vintage look, while Alia Bhatt’s saree appeared to draw inspiration from Nargis. Fans were quick to notice the nostalgic tributes in their attire! After their group photograph, the Kapoor family mingled with attendees, creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness.

The RK Film Festival, organized by the Film Heritage Foundation and PVR INOX Limited, aims to showcase ten classic Raj Kapoor films, including Shree 420, Awaara, Mera Naam Joker and more. These screenings, taking place in 40 cities across India, allow cinephiles to relive the magic of his cinematic legacy.

Speaking about the event, Randhir Kapoor expressed his hope that younger audiences would discover the greatness of his father’s films. The Kapoor Family plans to gather again on December 14 to conclude the celebrations.

Also, earlier this month, members of the Kapoor Family met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, extending a personal invitation to the festival. Kareena Kapoor shared pictures of the meeting, highlighting a moment where the Prime Minister penned an autograph for her sons, Taimur and Jeh.
