Just like other celebs Drake, Rihanna, and BeyonceBillie Eilish have joined and spoken her heart out condemning the killing of black Minnesota man George Floyd The 18-year-old singer posted a lengthy and straightforward message to her 63.3 million Instagram followers on Saturday to condemn George Floyd ‘s death.

“I’ve been trying to take this week to figure out a way to address this delicately,”  Eilish wrote starting with her heartfelt note “I have an enormous platform and I try really hard to be respectful and take time to think through what I say and how I say it…But holy f–king s–t I’m gonna just start talking.

“IF I HEAR ONE MORE WHITE PERSON SAY ‘aLL liVeS maTtEr’ ONE MORE F–KING TIME IM GONNA LOSE MY F–KING MIND. WILL YOU SHUT THE F–K UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP???? NO ONE ELSE IS SAYING YOUR LIFE DOESNT MATTER. NO ONE IS SAYING YOUR LIFE IS NOT HARD.

The singer went on to use many metaphors to describe why the word so profoundly disgusts her.

“If your friend gets a cut on their arm are you gonna wait to give all your friends a bandaid first because all arms matter? NO youre gonna help your friend because THEY are in PAIN because THEY are in need because THEY ARE BLEEDING,”she went on. “if someones house was on fire & someone is stuck in the house, are you gonna make the fire department go to every other house on the block first because all houses matter??? NO! BECAUSE THEY DON’T F–KING NEED IT.”

Eilish then called out class supremacy and urged those reading her statement to think hard and long about how the color of the skin of white people do not make their lives more difficult.

With the hashtag #justiceforgeorgefloyd, Eilish ended her four-photo post and her words left quite an impact on followers. Because it was shared about early on Saturday morning, the singer’s post has received more than 2.5 million views, and celebrities like SZA, Chloe and Halle Bailey, Zoë Kravitz, and more have praised her for speaking out.

Eilish also posted a photo of Floyd on Instagram earlier in the week and discussed many ways in which people can take action.
