Arvind Kejriwal Criticizes BJP Over ‘Lawrence Bishnoi’ Link After Saif Ali Khan Attack

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticized BJP government on Thursday following heinous attack on Saif Ali Khan. After the bollywood actor was stabbed by an intruder in the middle of the night at 2.30 am, inside his Bandra residence, concerns regarding the security of celebrities are broadly being questioned. While Shiv Sena and Congress leaders held Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis responsible for the mishap, now Delhi’s ex-CM Arvind Kejriwal slammed the party for its inability to safeguard the citizens of the state.

In a statement issued regarding the tragedy, the Aam Aadmi Party leader said that, “A gangster imprisoned in a Gujarat jail is behaving boldly. It appears that he is being shielded”, referencing gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who is detained in Sabarmati jail in Gujarat. Also reported by India Today, and as heard in his speech Arvind Kejriwal said, “It is a matter of concern that such a big actor who lives in such a safe place is attacked in his house. This raises questions about the state and Central governments. Earlier, Salman Khan was attacked, Baba Siddiqui was killed. If the government cannot provide security to such big celebrities, then what about the common people? The double-engine government can neither provide good governance nor security to the people,”
