Knives Out director Rian Johnson might have ruined his future mystery films, here’s why….

The critically acclaimed director of films like Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Knives Out, Rian Johnson, claims Apple doesn’t allow films villain to use their flagship product, iPhone.

Talking to an entertainment portal, Rian Johnson stated, “I don’t know if I should say this or not. Not because it’s lascivious or something, but because it’s gonna screw me on the next mystery movie that I write. But forget it, I’ll say it, it’s very interesting. Apple, they let you use iPhones in movies, but, and this is very pivotal, if you’re ever watching a mystery movie, bad guys cannot have iPhones on camera,”

The director further discussed a scene from Knives Out, where all the family members are using iPhone but Captain America star Chris Evan’s can be seen using an Android device, (SPOILERS AHEAD) and guess what, by the end of the film Chris is revealed to be the killer.

Johnson also went on to reveal that, during the initial script of the film, Knives Out was supposed to be R-rated in some parts, reportedly, Evans’ character, Ransom, appeals to his every family member to “eat shit” but Rian originally wrote Ransom saying “fuck you” and according to the director, it was Chris’ idea to say “eat shit”.

Although Rian didn’t get into details about Apple’s deal but looks like the statement might get him into trouble.
