Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha has expressed his opinion about the whole blame-game post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. He feels that the entire clamour around Sushant’s suicide is kind of ridiculous. He said that the everyday drama has become disturbing and Sinha also mentioned that some politics has gotten into the whole conversation, which started after the news of the budding actor’s death.

The sudden and tragic demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput led to a heated debate on the internet about the ruthless ways of Bollywood’s powerful camp and the nepotism existing in the industry. Netizens claimed that Sushant took the drastic step to end his life because of never feeling included in the B-Town which made it difficult for him to get films.

A politician also asserted that Sushant lost almost 7 films in six months post the success of his 2019 film Chhichhore. Some reports claim that the Kai Po Che actor was struggling with depression from the past couple of months and had not been taking medications to treat the same.

Meanwhile, expressing his candid opinion on the blame-game that started post Sushant’s death, Anubhav Sinha said, “What is going on is ridiculous. I would allow that young boy to rest. He must have been really disturbed in his head, restless and not at peace at all. I think we should just let him be for some time.”

He further added that it is not easy to your own life and especially one you’re doing rather well.  Explaining his point, Sinha said, “We need to keep quiet but a lot has been spoken about, and I suspect there is some politics that has gotten into it, and that’s not good for anybody — not for the boy at all.”

Anubhav Sinha also asserted that one needs to be sensitive towards Sushant Singh Rajput’s family.

Sinha said that he doesn’t want to participate in the whole discussion because he feels that it is agenda-driven. He also added that everyone needs to think about the late actor and his family, as the everyday drama can be disturbing.

Sushant Singh Rajput died of suicide on June 14, 2020, and was found hanging in his Bandra residence. The two things that got highlighted post his death were the toxic culture of Bollywood and imbalance of power.

Anubhav Sinha said that imbalance of power in Bollywood is nothing new. He feels that imbalance of power exists in every aspect of the world- some people have more power than the rest and that is how the world functions.

On the work front, Sushant Singh Rajput’s last Bollywood outing Dil Bechara will be releasing on Disney+Hotstar on July 24, 2020. The trailer of the film was released yesterday and it is getting showered with praises by the viewers.
