The sudden demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput sent shockwaves across the nation. The Chhicchore actor died of suicide on June 14, 2020, and ever since his death there have been heated arguments on nepotism and lobbying culture existing in Bollywood.
Some netizens claimed that the 34-year old actor decided to take the drastic step to end his life because he was boycotted in the industry by the biggies of Bollywood, while others asserted that Sushant didn’t die because of suicide but it was a conspired murder.
Although Sushant Singh Rajput’s case is being investigated by the Mumbai Police, his fans demanded a CBI probe to investigate the same. Their wish was granted and earlier today when the centre agreed for a CBI investigation. The Solicitor General, Tushar Mehta informed the Supreme Court that the Union of India has in principle accepted the recommendation by the Bihar government to order a CBI inquiry into the case. Fans have been celebrating the moment on social media and hoping Sushant gets the justice he deserves.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend and former co-star, Ankita Lokhande has also reacted to the Supreme Court’s decision to order a CBI inquiry. The actress shared the news and reacted to the same by writing, “Gratitude”, alongside a picture that read, “The moment we’ve waited for has finally arrived.”
As soon as Ankita shared her thoughts, netizens praised her for always being there for Sushant from the very beginning.
A couple of hours after the CBI inquiry descison, the late actor’s sister also shared the news on Twitter. She wrote, “CBI it is!!! #JusticeForSushant #CBIEnquiryForSSR #CBIenquiry.”
