The sudden demise of one of Bollywood’s promising actor Sushant Singh Rajput sent shockwaves across the nation. The late actor made his debut in Bollywood with the 2013 film Kai Po Che but before that, he was ruling the hearts of the millions with the TV show Pavitra Rishta. The show produced by Ekta Kapoor aired around 1500 episodes and it was one of the most popular and important shows back then.
In the show, Sushant Singh Rajput was paired alongside Ankita Lokhande and the reel life couple became a household name with a massive fan following. In a way, Pavitra Rishta was the biggest breakthrough in Sushant’s career and gave him a pedestal to step into Bollywood.
Meanwhile, according to some reports, Ankita Lokhande has approached Ekta Kapoor with the idea of making a sequel to Pavitra Rishta in memory of Sushant. Both Ekta and Ankita reportedly feel that the sequel to the show will be the best way to pay tribute to the late actor.
Sources claim that Ekta will be sitting down with a team of writers and exploring new ways to take the daily soap forward. The casting for the same will begin once the logistics are in place.
However, it was a few days back that reports claimed that Pavitra Rishta will be re-releasing in memory of the 34-year old actor. After 11 long years, the show will be witnessing a re-run on the Zee5 app. The news hasn’t been confirmed yet but fans surely can’t contain their happiness.
