A few days back there were speculations that Good Newwz director Raj Mehta has roped in Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani for his upcoming venture. Reportedly, the script of the movie is ready and it is pitched as a romantic-comedy.
The latest update about the same suggests that Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor have been locked in for the movie. The veteran actors will be essaying the role of Varun’s parents. More details about their characters haven’t been disclosed yet, however, sources have claimed that they will also add up to the comic relief of the movie.
Speaking of the yet-to-be-titled film, the director of the film, Raj Mehta alongside writer Rishabh Sharma has been working on the script of the romantic-comedy movie for quite some time. The makers are planning to start rolling the film in the month of October or early November this year.

On the work front, Neetu Kapoor was last seen in the 2013 movie Besharam along with her son Ranbir Kapoor and late husband Rishi Kapoor. Whereas, Anil Kapoor last starred in the 2020 movie Malang.
For the unversed, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani were supposed to share the screen space in Shashank Khaitan’s Mr. Lele. However, the film was later put on a back burner due to some reasons. Earlier, Kiara has been paired with Varun Dhawan in a song sequence ‘First Class’ in the 2019 movie Kalank.
Speaking of Raj Mehta, it will be the director’s second outing after the 2019 blockbuster movie Good Newwz. The film starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh was hailed by the masses.
