In the 2019 movie Gully Boy, actors Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh charmed the masses as Safeena and Murad. Their on-screen chemistry was mesmerizing leaving their fans wanting more of it. Now, it seems like Ranveer-Alia’s fans’ wish has been granted.
Previously, Alia and Ranveer were to share the screen space in Kara Johar’s period drama titled Takht. The much-awaited film has created a lot of hype among the masses and was also scheduled to go on floors in March this year. However, due to the lockdown imposed because of the coronavirus pandemic, the plans for the film went for a toss. Currently, Takht has been put on hold since it requires several actors to be in the frame at the same time.

Meanwhile, reports state that filmmaker Karan Johar has been working on a love story during the lockdown period and he has even narrated it to Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Sources claim that KJo wants to step away from the intense zone and is keen on making something similar to his directorial debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The 1998 film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji as the main leads.
The source further added that there has been no paperwork yet, but both Alia and Ranveer have given a verbal green signal to the venture. The project is speculated to go on floors next year, taking into consideration that the makers will decide on the location for shooting towards the end of the year.
The romantic film will be the first collaboration between Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt. Fans are in anticipation to see Ranveer and Alia reunite on the big screen.
