Bollywood’s action hero Akshay Kumar had a fiery announcement in March 2019 that he would be featuring in a digital show titled The End. The show will mark Akshay’s digital debut and it will also be his first collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. The show is pitched to be an action-packed thriller for which Khiladi Kumar had to perform many stunts.
So, Akshay Kumar put himself on fire as a part of the stunt planned for the announcement of the show. Earlier, it was reported that the plan was to take the show on floor by December 2020 and Akshay Kumar was to join by January 2021. However, the on-going coronavirus pandemic ruined the plans. Amid the lockdown and the safety measures, the schedule of the show has been postponed, and now the makers are looking to kick-start the shooting by the second half of 2021.
In an interaction with news daily, Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment said that it will take a while for things to go back to normal. He further added that since the main lead of the show Akshay Kumar has prior commitments, they are now aiming to roll in 2021.
Speaking of the content of the show, Vikram said that they have taken their time to build the material. He further asserted that it will be mounted on a scale suitable for versatile actor Akshay Kumar.
Earlier Akshay Kumar had said that he can’t wait to start rolling for his action-packed adventure series that will be on Amazon Prime Video for the global audience. He further added that the digital world always fascinated him and he is extremely delighted to debut with this show.
Akshay later confessed that it was his son Aarav who suggested him to give a though to digital debut as there’s where the young audience is. The Kesari actor then added that he wants to connect with the youth and put forth extraordinary content.
