Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmmi Bomb is one of the most awaited films of 2020. The horror-comedy also features Kiara Advani in the main lead alongside Khiladi Kumar. The film helmed by Raghava Lawerence was slated to release in theatres on May 22, 2020. However, due to the lockdown orders imposed because of the coronavirus pandemic, the makers had to take the OTT route.
Yesterday, Akshay Kumar shared two intriguing posters of the film making his fans wanting more of it. In a recent interaction, the 52-year old actor shared his experience, he said, “Laxmmi Bomb was a mentally intensive role. It is ‘never experienced before’ kind of role. I took as many retakes to give the perfect shot.” Kumar further added that the director of the film gave him the opportunity to experience something new in the film.
Spilling more beans on his experience of playing a transgender character, Akshay said, “I would like to thank my director Lawrence sir. He introduced me to a version of me that I didn’t know existed. This character is different from all the characters I have ever portrayed. Even after doing 150 films, I was genuinely excited to be on set every single day, pushing the boundaries, learning more about myself.”
Akshay Kumar concluded by saying that the film has taught him to be even more understanding of gender equality. He said, “Be anything you want, but don’t be ignorant. Kindness is the key to peace.”
A couple of days back the news about Akshay Kumar signing Ekta Kapoor’s film surfaced on the internet. However, neither of them has made any official announcement about the same.
