After Sonu Sood, Amitabh Bachchan Sends Migrant Workers Home

Taking inspiration from Sonu Sood, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has also stepped forward to arrange buses for migrant workers. He flagged off 10 buses for migrants on Friday, 29th May. About 300 migrants have been sent to the v various locations in UP viz. Lucknow, Allahabad, Gorakhpur and Bhadoi. 

The buses will be provided with food and snacks for the entire journey with water, juice etc. The medical kits are also being provided to the migrants in case they need it during the journey. They have also been provided with hand sanitizer, masks etc. Utmost care is being taken about the social distancing and only half the capacity of the buses is being loaded with the migrants as only 25 passengers in a 52 seater bus.

Amitabh Bachchan has also been distributing 4500 packets of cooked food every day in collaboration with Haji Ali Trust and Pir Makhdum Trust since March 28.

As per a news report, “By collaborating with Haji Ali Trust and Pir Makhdum Saheb Trust, Sr Bachchan has been distributing 4500 packets of cooked food on daily basis since March 28 at various locations in Mumbai including Arab Gali, Antop Hill, Worli Lotus, Mahim Dargah, Haji Ali Dargah, Dharavi and Sion to name some.”

Big B has even provided more than 20,000 PPE kits, masks, sanitizers to hospitals and cops in Mumbai. His team has been working hard to supply food packets, water bottles and slippers to workers leaving for their village on foot.

According to a source, “A team is also working on grounds to provide the migrant workers leaving from Mumbai with packet food, water bottles and slippers. 1000’s of migrants have got help from the actor’s team.”

Meanwhile, Sonu Sood has so far managed to send thousands of Migrant workers to their hometowns. In a recent update, he even arranged a special aircraft to airlift 177 stranded women laborers in Kerala.
