A recent comment by one of the top MNC Larsen & Toubro’s chairman has highly made people react to it. The amount of criticism he has faced for his 90-hour work week suggestion is huge and everybody including industrialists, and actors from the bollywood industry have reacted to it. Deepika Padukone became the first one to take a dig at S N Subramanyan for his remark. Now Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawalla has also come out mocking the chairman’s remark.

Adar wrote, “Yes @anandmahindra, even my wife @NPoonawalla thinks I am wonderful, she loves staring at me on Sundays. Quality of work over quantity always. #worklifebalance.” This comment was a direct mockery to the chairman’s remarks who said how long can you stare your wife, so it’s better to get back to work This caption was a follow up to Anand Mahindra who penned a note as a reaction to the 90 hours workweek call on his social media. He mentioned that “My wife is wonderful and I love staring at her”. The comment drew immense public attention after which now Serum Institute CEO also chose to react to it.
Apart from Deepika, Poonawalla and Mahindra – many more industrialists and female employees of other MNCs shared brutal reactions, calling out the chairman’s insensitive remark. Many also labelled him as misogynistic for the ‘staring at your wife’ remark that was made during his conversation.
