Actor John Capodice, widely recognized for his portrayal of Aguado in Ace Ventura, has unfortunately passed away at the age of 83. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Capodice died on Monday at his residence in upstate New York, surrounded by family that counts in two daughters and a wife.
Throughout his three-decade-long career, John Capodice featured in numerous memorable television shows and films, including Ace Ventura, Wall Street, Seinfeld, and General Hospital. He portrayed the character Carmine Cerullo from 1994 to 1996 in six episodes of the popular soap opera and is known worldwide for his role as a police officer who dismissed Jim Carrey’s pet detective in the 1994 film Ace Ventura. Capodice also contributed his voice to various video game series and short films over the years.
Talking more about him, his final projects before his death included roles as a cab driver in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem in 2023 and Big John in the 2024 series Conversations with Mobster. Tributes have begun to pour in for the beloved actor on social media, as fans remembered his many roles over the years.
