The series basically revolves around three working women in their 20’s who work in New York’s glamorous fashion magazine named Scarlett and their boss is Jacqueline Carlyle (Melora Hardin) who always believes in pushing her best three employees Jane, Kat and Sutton out of their comfort zones so that they reach greater heights and towards end of season 4, viewers were left stumped and intrigued by how all three bestfriends are looking for both personal and professional change in their lives.

According to their official synopsis, “In the final season, our trio is on the brink of defining who they really are and how to best leave their mark on the world. Their futures are bright, and their love and support for each other will never change”.

The Bold Type is in reality totally based and inspired by the life and career of former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine Joanna Coles, who is also the executive producer of the series.

In a recent interview with a leading digital entertainment magazine, Australian actress and star Aisha Dee who expressing her displeasure with her character Kat’s storyline in past hoping the how becomes inspiration for fans said, “This might be a bit presumptuous but I really hope that shows like The Bold Type empower people to be brave and ask for what they want in the workplace and make the career move, no matter what industry they work in, especially for marginalised voices. I really hope that The Bold Type is an inspiring voice to those people”.

When asked about her co-stars Meghann and Katie in same interview, Aisha shares, “We really are like sisters now and we’ve been doing this for a long time and we’ve seen each other through love and breakups and good days and bad days and PMS and all the rest of it. I don’t really know what I would do without them. I think we clicked immediately and fell into a routine that balanced each other out in a really natural way. Now, our friendship has evolved and it’s definitely different. There’s this honesty that you can only get through being with them for a long time”. The series also stars Stephen Conrad Moore and Melora Hardin.
